TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service govern use of wyldingwoods.com and the Lexi Magic Mirror experience at mirror.wyldingwoods.com, operated by Woander World LLC and its wholly-owned subsidiary Wylding Woods LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. WHO WE ARE

2. THE LEXI MAGIC MIRROR EXPERIENCE

The Lexi Magic Mirror experience is a child-directed, AI-powered interactive storytelling service available at mirror.wyldingwoods.com, presented at live Wylding Woods events. It is designed for children and requires verified parental consent before any child may participate.

There is no minimum age for children to use the Lexi experience, provided a parent or guardian completes the consent process described in Section 4.

We will not condition a child's participation on the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the experience.

3. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

From parents and guardians (collected before any child data)

  • First and last name

  • Email address (verified)

  • Digital consent signature

  • Marketing opt-in preference (optional)

  • A parent/guardian account is created in our system upon form completion (email and name only)

From children (collected only after parental consent is confirmed)

  • Child's name or chosen story name (used to personalize the experience and post-session story email)

  • Favorite color (used to personalize the story)

  • Favorite animal (used to personalize the story)

  • A favorite activity or thing they love (used to personalize the story)

  • Voice input during conversation with Lexi (processed in real time by Groq, Inc.; voice recordings are not retained after processing)

  • Conversation and session data (used to generate the story summary and illustration)

  • Generated story summary and AI illustration (stored and sent to the parent via email after the session)

We collect the parent or guardian's name and email address for the sole purpose of obtaining consent before collecting any information from the child.

4. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (COPPA)

We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not collect, store, or use any personal information from a child until a parent or guardian has provided verified consent.

How consent works

The Lexi experience is presented at live Wylding Woods events. Parents complete our intake form on their own device before their child begins the experience:

  1. The parent or guardian confirms they are 13 or older

  2. We collect the parent's name and email address only — no child information at this stage

  3. We verify the parent's email address with a confirmation code

  4. We present a summary of the data we intend to collect from the child, how it will be used, and which service providers may process it

  5. The parent provides a digital signature confirming consent

  6. Only after consent is confirmed does the child's information get collected

After submitting the form, the parent or guardian will receive a confirmation email summarizing what was consented to, which data will be collected, which service providers may process it, and how to revoke consent or request deletion.

Parental rights

At any time, a parent or guardian may:

  • Review the personal information and story content we have collected from their child

  • Correct any inaccurate information

  • Delete their child's information and story content

  • Revoke consent and stop further collection or use of their child's information

  • Opt out of story emails at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact: privacy@woanderworld.com. Deletion requests will be fulfilled within 30 days.

Right to partial consent

You may consent to our collection and use of your child's personal information without consenting to disclosure of that information to third parties, except where such disclosure is integral to providing the service (for example, AI processing to generate Lexi's responses and voice interaction). Contact us at privacy@woanderworld.com before completing the form to discuss this.

5. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

We use the information we collect to:

  • Obtain and record parental consent

  • Create a parent/guardian account associated with the experience

  • Personalize your child's experience and generate their unique story

  • Enable voice interaction with the Lexi character

  • Generate and deliver a post-session story summary and AI illustration to the parent

  • Send the parent a confirmation email and follow-up story email

  • Comply with our legal obligations

We do not sell personal information.

6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

The following service providers may process personal information in connection with the Lexi experience. They process data only to perform services for us and are not permitted to use children's data for their own independent purposes.

The Lexi Magic Mirror experience does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. No persistent identifiers are set on devices during the Lexi experience.

7. VOICE DATA

When your child speaks to Lexi, their voice is captured and processed in real time by Groq, Inc. (using the Whisper speech-to-text model) to enable conversation. Voice recordings are not retained after processing. Lexi's voice responses are generated by ElevenLabs, Inc. Voice data from children is treated as sensitive biometric information under applicable law.

8. AI-GENERATED STORY CONTENT

Through conversation with Lexi, we create a personalized story based on your child's preferences and voice input. We do not share your child's story with other users. After the session:

  • A story summary and AI-generated illustration are created from the session content and sent to the parent or guardian by email from lexi@wyldingwoods.com

  • The child's name and story summary are included in this email

  • Story content and conversation data are stored securely and deleted upon verified parental request within 30 days

  • You may request deletion of your child's story content at any time by contacting privacy@woanderworld.com

  • You may opt out of future story emails at any time by contacting privacy@woanderworld.com

9. POST-SESSION STORY EMAIL

After your child's session, we send a story summary and AI-generated illustration to the parent or guardian email address provided during consent. This email is sent to all parents by default and:

  • Is sent from lexi@wyldingwoods.com and delivered via Resend

  • Includes your child's name and a summary of the story they created with Lexi

  • Includes an AI illustration generated from the story content via OpenAI

  • Can be opted out of at any time by contacting privacy@woanderworld.com

10. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected:

  • Parent/guardian account data: retained for the duration of the account

  • Voice recordings: not retained after real-time processing

  • Child story content and conversation data: stored securely and deleted upon verified parental request within 30 days. We are implementing automated deletion and will update this policy when a defined retention window is in place.

  • Consent records: retained as required by law

To request deletion, contact: privacy@woanderworld.com. All deletion requests will be fulfilled within 30 days.

11. DATA SECURITY

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. Our service providers maintain security controls including encryption in transit, encryption at rest, and access controls. We maintain a written information security program governing access to production systems, data minimization practices, and retention and deletion procedures. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

12. YOUR RIGHTS

Parents and guardians may access, correct, or delete their child's personal information at any time by contacting privacy@woanderworld.com. Deletion requests will be fulfilled within 30 days. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA.

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify parents of material changes by email. Continued use of the services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
